Tom Arnold

Tom Arnold is a London-based composer, songwriter, producer, and pianist currently studying Electronic Music – Film Music at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has written large scale orchestral works for multiple projects including Derry Halloween Festival and Illuminated River Festival, termed the longest artwork installation in the world. Tom has also collaborated on numerous short films with directors from London Film Academy, MET Film School, and Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), and has ties to the Barbican Centre, providing music for their Silent Film series since 2021. Tom also orchestrated multiple tracks for the OrchestRAVE Electronic Music event that took place in the main Barbican Hall.

Born in Bedfordshire, Tom started the piano at the age of just 7, and has performed in multiple bands and ensembles since. Music naturally runs in Tom’s family, his grandad was a wedding singer, his dad being a professional musician and his uncle being a professional composer. He developed a passion for film at an early age, and later on more specifically film scoring. Tom has performed in piano masterclasses along with the likes of Joanna McGregor, Carole Presland and Caroline Palmer.
